Hopefully one of the more tech savvy members could furnish me with some advice here.

I'm looking to stream love film on to my HDTV but unsure what is the best way to go. All I'm looking for is the ability to support Love Film Instant, You Tube and Netflix (any other apps, channels etc is a bonus and not an issue).

I've looked at Chromecast, Roku? And Apple TV. Now TV is a non runner. Also, I'm not wanting to simply run a cable into my TV or use a games console.

Currently we have iPad, iPhone and Kindle Fire HD that we could use to stream if required. Picture quality is pretty important and I want the stream to fill the screen (no black strips either side) but would accept it may not be possible to get HD quality streaming. I'm not overly concerned about costs either.

I'm leaning towards the Apple TV at the moment (access to iTunes would be a good bonus) but I'm unsure if this supports Love Film Instant.

Which device would be the best way to go do you think?

Roku is a non runner for you as Sky has a large share holding and is rumoured to be blocking the release of the Amazon App. Personally I use an old Wii to run mine in one room and my Xbox One in another

Thanks GB72. I'll score Roku off the short list.

How's the picture quality when you run it through the Wii? I'm pretty sure the chief exec brought one with her when she took over my pad! Might try it out before commiting to Apple, wasn't too keen on that idea but you never know, it may work out ok.

Always going to be some issues with the wii picture quality as it does not have an HDMI output. That does not worry me as my old tv only has one HDMI output. Not sure of the cost comparison but may be worth picking up an old PS3 or Xbox 360 on the cheap as both have decent HD output

be careful if you are thinking of using an ipad to stream to your TV, a lot of the apps will not allow the data to be sent via HDMI.

Everyone i know uses apple TV and they rave about it. Personally, i have a smart TV, a NAS and Sky+ which now has all the iplayer and on demand stuff built in.

Do you know if this affects the ability to run love film instant through Apple TV?
