Our post round refreshments were slightly Louder than normal!

We played the Palmerston and it was in stunning condition, with rocket greens - 4-putted for first time in a couple of years or more, from middle of green on 6!

New Driver went fantastically - even for one of the others when his Ping I25 shaft broke just above adapter!

And the MacLaren and Lambo sounded great too!

Spoke to my Dad earlier, he was up there yesterday, sounded like it was a fun day!

Glad in good nick, am there next friday I think :)

Course Manager drove up to us on 14th tee and asked whether we'd seen some kids vandalising. They'd filled the bunker with water and done various other damage on that hole.

Our host is 99.9999% sure he's not renewing at end of August - after 15 years membership! He's very unhappy with a few things about the place!

What things? Or if you dont want to be specific, what sort of things?

I played at Brocket 4 times last year with 4 different members, each of them were extremely unhappy about the huge numbers of day ticket players being allowed on at all times, a valid gripe when they pay fairly high membership subs and cant play their choice of course as and when they want too. I also found it to be a bit scruffy round the edges, nothing serious but a general lack of attention to detail.

The first part is a gripe I have heard numerous times at Woburn whilst they continue to pile corporate meets each day - especially on the marquess - me and my mate have been booked to play that a number of times only to be moved over the last 6 months due to a corporate meet.

I would have doubts about being a member at any place that treats its members like this and shunts them around to chase the corporate £. Yes I know it's about the bottom line, but the members play a hefty whack to be at these places and should be entitled to value for money including playing the course they booked at the time they booked it
