How do you get it back again?

Hitting it crap and lost my mojo and interest in even playing.

Playing on Saturday at Scotscraig then next Sunday at Millport. I think the clubs could be going away for a couple of weeks after that but tomorrow at Scotscraig will be interesting. I'm not even enjoying the game and tomorrow is a tournament. Not really sure how my head will react!

Don't know if I should treat it as a bit of fun or take it seriously, either way there could be a set of bats getting launched off the Tay Bridge on the way home.

Vultures!

In my hour of need as well.

I went to the "how did I do" website, looking at various comp results showed me how often good and very good players have crap rounds, bizarre but I found that helped. ;)

Jack it in and spend more time doing overtime at work and the rest of your time with your wife and kids!

You will be back playing golf within a weeek...

Your too good an organiser to quit :p

Stop trying so hard mate and don't try to force it. Enjoy the next few games you've got planned and put the sticks away for a few days. Watch some golf on TV and your MOJO will slowly return!

Wise man, he say

"you no wuwwy about journey to top of hill...reaching summit is no necessary if you have fun on way up...some of path will be easy, some too hard and make you sad"

at which point, clout him with a 3 iron.

I found playing some different courses really helped me. Actually played them half decent too which I guess helped. Things are starting to click for me with a recent PB too. Its up to you. I really wanted to jack it all in again but as soon as I said that I started playing well and with a trip to Dublin to look forward too I've definitely got my mojo back

Craw,
Been there done that , your more than welcome to come to my place for a game, i can assure you that after watching me play you'll realise your games in good shape mate. :D

Its more about, motovation, what can I do to get my fat ass back onto the course?

It is feeling like a chore getting myself up for some golf. I played at Bonnyton yesterday and the course was beautiful, greens were superb but after 5 holes I just didn't want to be there. My head was elsewhere.

How do I overcome this? Never ever have I been in this state of mind. The more I didn't want to be there the more my game deteriorated to such an extent my 7 iron went flying on the 11th after pulling it left and missing another green.

At present its not a case of me playing badly, I had a lesson and apart from being told to stand taller and keep my height throughout the swing my swing was actually on plane and looking good. My head and heart is not in it which is worrying.

I think I need to see a shrink as even the Mrs is noticing my lack of golf!

a good day round that goat track of mine tomorrow mate and you'll be back on track ,i was like that for months but i now i'm getting my arse on the course and playing badly ,heck i've even been practising.
