Lost Final today :(

really wanted this (Winter Fourball final) - would have been 3 wins in 4 years, esp as playing partners has had a tough year with an ongoing illness.

Partner and i were 2 under gross after 16 with 4 lip outs.

Unfortunately, our opponents were 5 under after 16 and did us 3&2. Knew it was going to be a fun day when they chipped in for a birdie win on the first that would have been through the green had it not hit the pin and dropped ! Added to that they also putted in from off the green 3 times (twice from rough!)

Never mind, always next year, medal next week.

If it's your days it's your day. It happens in all sports and sometimes you can play well and not get the result you deserve (being a Fulham fan its a familiar scenario). Be satisfied that you got there again and gave yourself a chance of winning and the fact that you played some decent golf and didn't hand it to them

Funny the 2 of us are off 11 and we are VERy dofferent games - i play a boring fairways and greens game, and partners is all over the place but usually fires a lot of birdies. We make a gerat 4 ball but we are hopeless playing Foursomes he can;t play an approach from a fairway and i've never been where he plats his approaches from
