Lost emails?

I was doing some messing about before Christmas and along with my new iPhone looked at and downloaded Cloud, I think!

Anyway, I was following some prompts and everything was pretty straight forward, but, after a while everything really seemed to be very slow, so, I deactivated it, I think!

So, I needed to look at an old email for some details and have now noticed that all my emails now only go back to that date just before Christmas, everything prior in every email label I have created only starts at that date!

Where are they?

Jokes aside, who is your email with? ie hotmail, icloud, yahoo etc. Then you say you downloaded cloud, cloud what? icloud from apple?

Pretty sure it was iCloud through Apple as I was playing with my new iPhone, I think it obviously linked/merged with my emails (gmail) and everything else, then when I deactivated it, it looks like it took everything with it !!

So do you use the mail app on the iphone for your email or the gmail app?

What happens when you log into Gmail on a PC to look at your emails? are they there?

Just found the email I saved in October welcoming me to iCloud, it's from that date that everything prior has disappeared, the same on my PC?!

have you checked the "all mail" and trash? some googling shows there was an issue with ios9 updates wiping or moving Gmail...

Looked everywhere now, just reactivated iCloud all the way through forming my iCloud email addy etc, think I've opened everything I need to but nothing anywhere, everything seems lost or moved to a black hole since the date I was welcomed

yeh seems like apple have been deleting gmail inboxes in particular, seems they have gone mate from what i have read up....

No worries, someone more geeky than me may be able to help some more, but i would think they gone..

If it's a gmail account can't you just log onto gmail.com in a web browser and check for your mail there?
