I remember reading somewhere a while ago that the average golfer in the UK looses 2 balls per round. This sounds a bit high to me, although might explain why I find so many.

Question: how many balls did you loose in your last 18 holes?

Depends on the course. Sometimes I play with the same ball for all 18 but if there's water on course I'm done for and there's quite often a tin cup type situation. I normally loose at lease one though.

Also got a thing for water. Can loose one in every pond if not careful.
Got three rounds out of my last one, but thats on home track, with no water hazards.

Played nine holes late saturday afternoon & managed to lose 4, 2 on one hole, the sun was low playing by myself i was driving into the sun on a par four, lost the ball in the sun, dropped one then hit a great shot with my hybrid & promptly did exactly the same.

I played on my course 3 weeks ago and lost 5 in 12 holes and honestly never missed a fairway. The wee buggers plugged in the fairway and were lost forever, or until the ground dries out and they pop out like a harvest of Titleist.

I think my worst was 14, round Braid hills in edinburgh, and again round Waterlefe in florida (it was off the back blocks, with loads of long carries over water). No excuses for Braid tho'.

My best is five rounds and then retirement. Strata tour ultimate, when they first came out. It was absolutely wrecked when I retired it.

I don't tend to loose many for a few weeks, and then have an off day and loose three in a row.

My partner here in Spain two days ago started with five balls in his bag and lost them all by the eighth. I gave him a couple which he lost on 10 and 11 although he did find one on the eleventh. His game picked up and only lost his last ball on 18. I was waiting for him by the green when I realised he was in bushes trying to find a ball to finish his round.
