hi guys, for some reason i found my game on friday, played in a comp and lost on count back. it was by far my best round since starting last year, played the day after and it was like id never picked a club up in my life everythin felt wrong. iv just got membership at a club and proberly playing 4-5 times a week is this to much and should i concentrate on lessons instead of trying to improve with lots of golf on the course. Looking forward to next weeks north vs south meet and meeting you lot face to face, should be fun!!

Its a difficult one trying to match playing against practicing, especially after paying a membership fee and trying to ensure you get your money's worth. For my two pence worth I'd be trying to get out on the course as much as possible to start with tho learn about its nuances, to get your face seen around the place and hopefully to meet and play with some members.

I spent most of the winter on the range rather than the course and my game suffered a lot, the best practice is on the course, there is a time for practice though.

its all good practising, but you have to be practising the right things, rather than getting into the groove of the wrong things. Cut out one round and go to the range and see the pro....you might only need one or two lessons
