On Monday I'm in the Senior Pairs open at my club, I've never played in a seniors comp or anything to do with seniors specifically, but now as I qualify (just) I thought why not, especially as I was invited and asked to pair up with someone who is very steady, if we dovetail well off each other we could be a new winning partnership :D

Really looking forward to it.

Seniors comps are no different to any others - except for maybe a few more toilet breaks!

With your swashbuckling style and a steady partner, you should do well! Enjoy!

Good luck mate, and being invited he must think you're a bandit!

If there is a good seniors section it can be the best golf fun you've ever had.
Ascerbic old gits, grizzling round the course, peeing in the undergrowth half a dozen times a round and jockeying for position with their leccy trolleys.
They will also have tremendous banter, a wealth of experience and a staunch allegiance to their section.

Thanks guys, really looking forward to it, a couple of hours work this morning and then get myself prepared to hit the course for our 2pm tee time, conditions look great and our greens are slowly getting back to their best since being hollow tined 3 weeks ago.

How did you get on today, and who won the grouchiest golfer award? :)
