at our course we have a local rule that you are entitled to remove stones AND PINE CONES from the bunker. if the pine cone is still attached to a branch that has dropped into the bunker are you entitled to remove the whole branch?
i don't think so or am i wrong?

Unless you can somehow move the cone without moving the branch, you are correct!

I suspect that the pine cone relief is not approved by the R&A. When I last enquired there were still considering the matter.
I belief that there are thoughts that a pine cone does not present the same danger as a stone. Which is the reason for being afforded relief for the stones.

However, your club may have been given specific dispensation but it is unlikely.
