I'm looking for a pair of mad trousers for a memorial event for a colleague we lost in a car accident, something green but I'm not prepared to pay mad prices for loudmouth or R&A. I bought some Dunlop green trousers from Sports direct but they are an awful fit. Can anyone help?

Royal & Awesome are the way to go, they have some fantastic designs, both in trousers and plus 4's

Alternatively, just try a google search, i'm sure something will come up.

Thing is you pretty much get what you pay for. My Loudmouth trousers are the best quality pair of trousers that I have but they are not cheap, especially if they only come out once or twice a year. I have pairs from sports direct and the fit is not great but they would do if I only needed them for a couple of wears.

The other suggestion is to do what I did when I wanted a loud pair but I was a bit strapped for cash, simply buy a pair of cheap BHS chinos (other cheap chinos are available) and stick them in the washing machine with a pack of dye. For less than £20 I had a great pair of purple trousers and a pair of red ones. Simple.

Think Lobster do some funky designs

Some good deals on R&A from last years range

Loudmouth also have a sale section on their website with half price trousers and shorts. They don't always have every size for each pattern but worth having a look.

make sure the family know what your doing before you turn up,a friend went to a funeral were they got told to wear something blue (Everton fan i think) no problem except EVERY one else had a blue tie or blue handkerchief or blue socks,my mate and two of his mates turned up in what can only be described as the TANGO man if he was blue.

No it's a golf day we have a memorial game every year, he was a big Celtic fan so that's the reason for the green.

What about these Alan.....

Seem to have a decent range of sizes and have the Shamrocks as well for the Celtic/Irish connection.

I love them and they would match my putter head cover.

I went on GolfBase and bought a few bits. Sign up to the newsletter and you get £5 off first order over
£30. They do free delivery too.

I bought

There is plenty of non loud IJP stuff also - so very good blue tech trousers and some clasy white polos

There is but in my opinion IJP has to be loud. There are loads of great golf trousers in more subdued colours (Stromberg, Ping) that I could go with. Not a fan of Loudmouth or R&A as they are just off my scale. I don't mind being garish (some of my shoes are out there) so IJP tartan appeals. I just need to get over my crippling shyness
