I have already got a game organised for the evening, at North Worcestershire with PIng from here , but I'm also looking to play in the morning as well.

I am looking for a recommendation for a game in or around the B32 area.

Any of these courses a must play when in the area?

Or as I asked on the other thread anyone around the area fancy meeting up/joining up for a game in the morning at one of these other courses?

It's about 15 miles from B32 but I'd highly recommend Enville. Played the lodge course on Friday and it was really nice and in great nick. I can't play as I'll be on holiday but it would be my first recommendation.

Stourbridge golf club is a bit closer and has some of the nicest fast/true greens in the area and you can play a round there for 20 quid. Has a few steep hills and crossover holes though.

Blackwell and enville are both great courses but you may struggle to get on as a visitor without a member signing you in . If you do get to play enville play the highgate course .

The astbury is about 40 mins and will have the best greens in the area by a country mile .

Get yourself down to Lickey Hills, B31 post code! Arguably one of the best muni's in the Midlands area!! I play there quite a bit for casual rounds with my Dad and we love the place. My Dad's been playing it for years and always loves the challenge. You'll probably find a few other people agree with me here and suggest it for a nice round!

Harborne is probably the best I've played in the area - admittedly I haven't played many. The Lickeys is the most picturesque but hard work if you don't like mountaineering! The dog walkers, picnicing families and local juvenile delinquents are also a pain. Bromsgrove is a decent pay n' play, not too far away.

See you Friday.

Not far away & along the M42 is Ladbroke Park, Robin Hood & Copt Heath, all good courses.

Thanks for the replies and recommendations. Some were a tad far away and others a bit expensive to play a solo round on so I have decided to play 18 at Kings Norton before meeting up with PIng for a round at North Worcestershire in the evening.

Thanks again to everyone.

Kings Norton is very nice, you'll enjoy it

Glad I stopped off for some factor 30 sun block before playing today.

Enjoyed the days golfing. Kings Norton was in fantastic condition.

Thanks again to Paul for the game at North Worcestershire. Another course in great condition.

It was nice finally get a birdie putt to drop and a round to my handicap. :)

Hopefully we can get together again and play a few other courses.

Thanks for the game tonight Fabian and I hope you enjoy the rest of your stay in sunny Birmingham. You played well, 38 points on a course you'd never seen before. Sorry you had to spend so much time searching in the rough for my errant shots. Give me a shout next time you visit the family.
