Was just wondering if anyone has played there as a friend of my dad's wants to go up an play and stay up there in september.

Think he said it was about £140 for 2 nights, 3 rounds of golf and included evening meal and breakfast.

Had a look on the webstite and it looks a nice place, the lakes course looks a real challange with all the water on it!

played about 7 years ago as im from the area. Nice course, water for you to loose balls in, personally not my cup of tea but there are some very nice holes, a nice track and worth a look i would say. Long course aswel!

Being new to golf mate I know this course is too long for me...hasnt stopped me playing it TWICE in 2 weeks!..Its a championship course very wide fairways which I loved and after 1pm EVERYDAY you can play for £10!!!..FANTASTIC VALUE

I highly recommend it.

I don't mind longer courses because like you say they are normally a little bit more open which suits me.

So i take it the course has a hotel there aswell?

Bozza...........I had a game recently with a fellow GM forum member at Longhirst where he likes to play...........so if you fancy a game sometime PM me and let me no

Cheers.Kev

Love a game but i don't drive so can't really travel anywhere too far unless i get lifts. So i'm kinda stuck.

Thanks for the offer though.

Yeah it has a hotel,The place is called longhirst Hall because it has a hotel there.its prob posh but my gut feeling is its prob fair bit cheaper to stay there than say linden, matfen and slayley hall all in the same area.

Check out their website, that will tell you

I'm in the same boat as you as I dont drive.Have to rely on family and mates to play courses away from my course, where if needed I can can get bus to if no lift as my gear is there.
Still without being a driver I have still managed 13 courses in 9 months!

You never no we still might be able to meet up sometime for a game.

Thanks for the offer though.
