Longest course you have played

Castle Stuart off the black is 7100 ish, doesn't feel that long as there is some run. Spey Valley on the other hand is the same length and feels a slog when ever i play there.

Only seven full size courses here but four are over 7,000 yards from the blacks and while I've played them often enough I wouldn't dream of playing any of the seven from the furthest tees (the two longest are 7,467 & 7,530)

Himmerland PGA course 7425 yards and that after playing the other course in the morning, lots of elevation changes so very tiring and far too much of a test off the back tees for me!

The Marquess off the medal tees at 6700 is probably the longest I've played. I've had plenty of opportunities to play 7000+ yard courses in the US but have never bothered, I play golf for enjoyment, not to beat myself up.

The longest hole I've played is a 747yard par 6 at Turquoise Valley in Arizona.

My home course, at just a shade over 7000yds. The back 9 is brutal, especially from the 14th in, which is usually into a good breeze. The 14th is 583yds, and the 16th is 599yds. Its reasonably open on the back 9, which allows you to open your shoulders a bit, but it is a slog...

Dundonald Links in a force 10 gale and horizontal rain.
Not the longest in yards, but was tough on the soul
Felt as if I just walked around all day with my 4-iron in my hand

Played a local course that was 7000 yards. It was in a corporate day with lots of beer thrown in, and the pair we were put with were absolute swines. Then my partner started throwing his clubs. I think we were the most serious, boring group on the course, and they were enforcing rules to the max. It wasn't funny at the time, but the whole day was absolute comedy looking back. The other pair supposedly played-off 12, but I think they ended up in the 120s, although they did believe it to be "a very bad day" for them.

I didn't really like the course, although I admit that it was a nice set-up, with very fast greens. It was very wide, so you could open your shoulders and go for it, but it got a bit boring using the driver on maybe 15 out of 18 holes.

I enjoy my new club much more. It's short at around 5100 yards, but very narrow, so rewards accuracy, rather than length. You really have to use every club in your bag, which I find much more interesting than driver, 6-iron, wedge, putter, on most holes at a long course. Some self-proclaimed long-hitters see the length, and their eyes light up, thinking they can destroy it, but they never do. A long drive can often end up OOB, so players need to club up, and maybe take an iron off the tee. I much prefer a course that rewards precision rather than length.

Hotchkin off the blues brutal was in a monsoon too! but still an awesome course.

OP think I found with the Warickshire was some off the distances between greens and next tee, some were like a sunday after drive in the country. ;)

I dread to think how tough that is. off the yellows was seriously tough! they even play their mens comps off the yellows!

Donnington Grove, while only about 7,100 off the white tees, you end up walking about 10k due to long walks between holes. (and i mean long!!)

Did a 36 hole scratch there in the mid 80's. It was blowing a hooley, and I couldn't reach some fairways. My morning 84 was in tenth place. My afternoon round was... at least the flowers were in bloom...
