longer distances abroad

I know its well known and basic common sense but it amazes me how much further you hit it abroad in warm countries than here in Brrrr-itain

I was averaging 240 here for a 3 wood- 260yds abroad
8 iron 155ish here- same distance with a wedge abroad
Drives went over 300 regularly.........

just something to ponder when we read the stats of super far hitters on the tours

In response to your OP though you are right the ball does fly significantly further in warmer weather aswell as at altitude. Thats why at those PGA events in Arizona those guys are hitting 3 woods to 310 yard par 4's...

Also we can't forget that TV commentators like to embellish the truth sometimes with regards to the pros club selections...
