Going up to London for the England V Netherlands game, and thought we would go early for a pub lunch. Any ideas on what to do in the afternoon ?

Done most of the tourist things over the years, so looking for something a bit left field. Any recommendations ?

Pop across to Selhurst Park to see where the FA Cup is going to be housed for the next 12 months!

A million options, depends on what you like. The National Portrait Gallery is really good. Tate Modern is a weird collection in a great building. Cable Car ride over the Thames? Head to the Monument for great views for just a few £. Go and see an Imax movie at the Science Museum. Queue to sit in the public gallery in the House of Commons/Lords.

We have been on quite a few boys trips to London, so done most of the obvious things. Went to the House of Commons for tea with Jeremy Hunt, and to House of Lords with Virginia Bottomley. Amazing what you buy at charity auctions after a few beers.:o

Galleries are a possibilty.

Can't involve heights though.:(

Camden Town, not sure if markets are open though, if they are the horse market is excellent.

I can see you in Shoreditch richart, going round spittlefields on your microscooter with your ankles showing out the bottom of your skinny jeans. You just need to work on the moustache.

Secrets in Hammersmith is nice.

Joking aside, Smithfield Market is fantastic but no good if this match is on a Saturday. Some great restaurants near there too.

I like this place in Farringdon for a decent boys lunch.

Beef chop is amazing. Berry Brothers good ordinary claret to accompany it and it isn't too expensive.

Instead of a pub lunch how about a curry in Brick Lane?
