Gents,
Picked up a job down in Greenwich which is monday to friday. This is now going to cause havoc with my golf as played quite often in the evenings when working at home. What is London like for just having a 9 hole knock in the evenings ? Anyone know of anything around East London.

Cheers all

can't think of a 9 holer round that way, think the nearest course is shooters hill, which is a members course, but well worth playing.

Eltham Warren isn't a million miles away from Greenwich, quite enjoyable 9 holes, but again a members club. Sorry, but no idea about anything in East London.

If you have a car and you want to play weekdays, then the following are all within a half hour drive:
Eltham Warren
Aquarius (must play with a member but contact the club)
Shooters Hill (£20 after 4 pm)
Royal Blackheath
Chislehurst
Pedham Place (par 3 and 18 holes)
Birchwood (par 3 and 18 holes)
Sundridge Park (36 holes)

Dulwich & Sydenham is not too bad from Greenwich. Nice track, with some great views over the City
Not somewhere I'd want to play every week, but it does have some lovely views alright. Some good holes, but some awkward bounces in summer and a couple of fiddly holes mean it's not a favourite but with playing.

Thanks for the help gents. Will spend tuesday evening having a look around and getting my bearings to where these courses are.

I think that the order that I did the courses was nearest to - furthest from Greenwich.
Accidentally mind, but there you go!

Also, I may be able to join you for 9 holes in a few weeks time, if you want company? Just have to wait for my fractured finger to heal! :(
