This is the first time I will be attending, anyone know what i've got to look forward to?

You're right there mate, the credit card will not be coming with me i'm only taking cash I have to spend. They'll probly offer some sort of 0% finance deal or something though that'll suck me in on buying something stupid like an all singing all dancing electric trolley.

I'd love to minty but the mrs is close to leaving me over golf and i think if i mentioned the golf show...

I was lucky enough to be working the D&T Show in Birmingham last year at the same time as the Golf Show. Kids in a sweet shop, loads of ace stuff! i think you can even be videoed using a driver and be put on the 'rate my swing section'?

I notice you have some nice kit going on now mate, Ping Irons, Nike driver and utility... addictive isnt it

I simply could not be trusted at such an event. Thought I had got the club buying addiction under control until the drunken incident with ebay and Mactech fairway wood (at least I am buying cheaper clubs now). Letting me loose at a golf show would, I feel, be a quick route to divorce and poverty.

Yuk, Excel, done a few boat shows there as an exhibitor, horrid place. However not been to a golf show yet. Wife ain't happy, I think she thinks that I'll spend a small fortune there. It's not even as if a could buy something for her either! Perhaps agree a budget first, and then take cash only, of course the food and drink is expensive, do you think she'll believe me if I tell her that I need £50 just for food allowance! Of course I'll take my own but she don't need to know that.

I'm probly going to go on the fri or sat. I just want to go for the experience, they have a few celebrity golfers as well by the looks of it so will be interested to see how well they hit the ball.

I understand everyones concerns about cash though, i'm sure you could spend a small fortune there. I will post nearer the time once I've picked what day i'm going. Anyones who's up for it i'll be more than happy to have a pint with.

Yea got some good gear now mickey, my next step is to have the pings fitted and get a new bag and putter.

Since getting the golf bug I can really see where the phrase Golf Widow comes from and so can my wife-to-be.

The main subway network connects with the DRL at Bank (I think) and it's a fairly painless if tedious journey from there.

Give people a chance to see where some the filthy lucre generated for the Games will be wasted ....ahem ...I mean spent too

Think my wife may be coming with me. Think its more because she has never been on the DLR and is looking for an excuse. I'm hoping its cos she loves me loads and wants to buy me loads of new gear
