Can we not make it law that whenever we're using this forum as newbes or old hands, we must say where we're from. It's on our infromation list. I know people can make places up and not be from there at all, but their country would do.

What? Why?

What is the relevance of where people are from?

Are you biased against people from Cornwall? Are their opinions not valid too? I knoe people from East Anglia have webbed fingers, but that doesn't stop them making valuable contributions to the forum (provided they can type).

Not sure where this is going.

NO NO NO, I didnt mean that, I thought it would be interseting to see where people are from. It makes no difference to me but just thought that we would see how many people lived in our own area.

Think I am the only member in Rutland so far. For a small county there are a good variety of courses near me and none cost over £30.00.

Welcome to the forum Swiper, where in Swansea you from? Im from Neath originally, feel free to introduce yourself to the forum properly by starting a new post.

I am just outside Newcastle Upon Tyne, but work in the centre on the Quayside. I play mainly in the Durham area if anyone fancy's a game sometime?

I'm orginally from Newcastle Upon Tyne but now reside in North Oxfordshire, there are around 15-20 courses all within 20-30 minute drive and green fees average about £30 for a round.
Barb :)

I'm from middlesbrough, play my golf at wilton golf club, tend to play different courses further afield, however if I fancy a round on a links course in summer there's a decent one at redcar for about 25 quid.
