Was out for a hit yesterday afternoon by myself and whilst standing on the 7th tee waiting for the group in front to get out of range I noticed a pod of killer whales making their way back out to sea.

From where I took the video the 6th green is about 20yds behind me. I only had my phone so it's not the best quality but you can see them fairly well. The guy you can hear talking near the end is the local "expert" on everything who was out with his dog.

Not sure if this should be here or OOB so please move if needed.

There is nothing that beats wildlife in their natural habitat - watching killer whales is a wonderful thing !

Been lucky to see them down the Falklands and Outer Hebrides.

Vid looks great - very lucky

I cant believe how close to shore they were. Probably only a few hundred yards from where I was standing. I've seen them before when I've been on the course but the last time was years ago. Just behind our 18th tee is a beach where seals haul out, apparently these guys caught one, ate it and then headed back out to sea. On any given day there are probably 30 to 40 seals in the area so I think they've obviously cottoned onto this and come in for a look. Hopefully they'll be back. Very lucky to get to see them.

We have muntjacs and fallow deer round mine but very rarely seen. Saw one the other day eating some leaves at a lodge that's being redeveloped. Killer whales is in another league!!

Fantastic video! I was surrounded by rabbits yesterday. I heard their mating call on a lots of tee's " Where the Chuff did that go"? and the disturbing shout of "Fore......for 3"

Fantastic video, lucky guy to see these and well done for getting them filmed

Anorak point: killer whales are actually a member of the dolphin family and their name comes from the Spanish who called them Killer of Whales. Zzzzzzzzzzzzz

On reflection a pod of whales is a bit better....

Fat chance of seeing one here - only 120 miles or so from the sea in every direction....
