Partly inspired by posts saying they've joined a club and have no regular p.p's
and the fact that there are many members on here who have never met but are local to each other.
So the idea is to somehow come up with a way of letting people know who you are, where you play and that your looking for a game, perhaps a mini league could be developed , home / away type thing.
I think the members map is a little outdated, and the arrange a game threads vanish quickly without replies, plus it doesn't seem right sending a total stranger a p.m saying
" hi, i noticed your local , fancy playing around with me "
That's probably a different forum altogether
So, how to implement this idea?
All i can think of at this moment is something in your signature stating your interest, perhaps a sticky somewhere ( if it takes off ) to show viewers that there are golfers nearby and may encourage people to join the forum on that basis.
I know there are half a dozen forumers near me , depends whether my course is up to their standard

So over to the collective for some inspiration..
