Hope all you folks in England and Wales are casting your votes today.
The rule should be that if you don't vote you lose the right to moan.

Big breakthrough for the You Kippers maybe?

Id vote for the "Bring a Bottle " Party

Its all Tory blue here, waste of time voting any other way, expect a low turnout, but agree that voting should be compulsary

Labour hold South Shields.

Monster raving Looney candidate was excited about his 197 votes, gave me a chuckle with his enormous rossette:rofl:

I went out to work yesterday morning before they were open & by the time I finished I went straight to the match, time I got back they were closed. So when exactly was I supposed to vote?

We use postal votes for each election, once you are registered they will keep sending you them.
Makes life so much easier.

A few years ago, I would have agreed with you. however, after the MP's expenses scandal etc etc etc I think that some believe that by voting they are validating the MP's and the political system. We certainly need a way of monitoring the electorates view of politics and there is none more telling than the turnout percentage. I agree that there should be a "none of the above" box, but in my view it is your right to choose not to vote.

Personally, I always vote. If only to offset some of the plonkers who vote for higher council tax and more potholes.
