Hi all, We have a new American golf shop opening in Worcester soon, I’ve heard mixed comments on the forum regarding the shops. Do I avoid it at all costs or is it worth regular visits for gear etc if I’m happy with the clubs I’ve already got?

I assume if it's next to an Asda there will not be an outdoor range? If so then it may not be great for buying clubs but would be fine for stuff like balls, gloves etc

Would never buy clubs from AG after my shocking experience once getting fitted for some irons. But they can be fantastic for buying clothing and shoes as they do have deals on at times where you buy 3 items of clothing and get the cheapest one free.

I'd always go to the opening event of an AG, as they often have ridiculous deals that day/weekend.

Thereafter, I'm not that likely to go into a store, but I'm often online, picking up bargains.

I'm indifferent, but I know others have varied experiences.

Errrrr really! Wow! Where is this going to be then? and When is it opening?

AG seem a bit like Marmite - you either love them or hate them.

If it's new and local, give them a try and make your own mind up. If you lie then you'll have a great local golf outlet, if not nothing lost other than a bit of time.

No,use your local pro shop. wheres the fun and attention to detail with a large corp like AG?? and how un golf like are these shops next to Asda ;) .
