Following it. Watched the landing and pretty much everything from the Nasa site in the last few days. There's a 360* picture that's doing the rounds - brilliant stuff.

I've got a sky party set up for next Tuesday night, not that I'll get anything that good.

A half decent camera, the right dark sky location and its possible to get great photos here on earth.

Can't think of a "dark sky" location near me that would give me that quality view of the Milky Way. That is a cracking photo.
I'd love to see similar to that "live"

You'd be hard pressed to see that 'live'. There's a slight streak to the stars which suggests its been over exposed to bring the colours out. I posted up a photo of the Orion nebula a couple of years back. To the naked eye it just looks like a foggy blur but a 20 sec exposure brings out the blues and purples.
