Last weekend I pitched in from 60 to claim my first Eagle.

Never had one in over 10 years of playing

Today I it the green in our par 4 10th and procceded to sink a 30 footer for my second

Was buzzing.

So much so that I blobbed the next hole.

Then birdied the next.

Then got an 8.

Funny old game.

Still........ The eagle was a cracker.

Nice one well done, funny how it goes i had three in around six months that was around two years ago. Since I have only had one on a par 5 winter green

The thing was my 8 probably deserved of 10.

My two tee shots were atrocious, then i duffed a couple and putted like an idiot.

It was that bad that even the shine of a second Eagle was tarnished.

Oh well

At least i have properly popped my cherry now.

Should minimize the nerves should i be lucky enough to find myself in a scoring position next time

i got two eagles in the same round once. 7th at Castle Stuart (si1) off the back tee. i didn't see it go in but my 3 playing partners did, then did the same on the 9th. I can't remember the shots but i can our opponents faces both times:rofl::rofl:

I played the (then) assistant pro in a friendly matchplay a few years back. Our 13th is shortish par 5 but you have to nail a tee shot to score well. Anything off the fairway is really difficult to find the green in two. I pulled left and he found the middle. I played out sideways and then hit an 8 to the green. Old guys on the next tee starting clapping and pointing at the hole. 140 yard eagle. He middled the green with his second, lipped out the eagle putt, tapped in for birdie and lost the hole . I made an 8 on the par 4 that followed

Funny old game.

Similar to my last one last week. Stuck two in the cabbage of the tee straight after.

Pleased to report I par'd the next after tonight.

I actually lipped out for one on the 10th tonight from a chip after pushing one right from the tee. As it was rolling round the hole I was thinking that no bugger would believe me if ut went in.

Can't believe just s few holes after I would make another.

Yesterday was 315 well uphill.

I had 2 eagles on the trot at Strensall the other year, chipped in on par 5 15th holed 9i 2nd shot to par 4 16th and hit a 4i all over the flag on par 3 17th and finished 8ft behind the pin, not sure how close it was cos you can't see the green from the tee.

A few folk at work basically gave a raised eyebrow at me until my PP work mate confirmed it.

A 18 hc numpty like me should not really be doing this so frequently.
