not posted for a while - been an active reader though

Dont know about you guys but ain't life crap?
always ups and downs - more downs than ups

e.g this weekend
Friday - wife told she will be made redundant
Saturday - I got letter from employer saying that in the next 4 mths redundancies are to strat
Sunday - Played golf - had best round of the year 69 gross.
Bought a scratch card - never ever do - won a fiver.
Then settled down to watch City - lose 3-0

I have always said that life is like golf. Just when you get settled and enjoy it you end up with a big fat snowman on your card. You have been delt a lost ball and bad lie but soon, you will look back and realise you came through it stronger.

Was told my job is pretty certain to be going in 2011 and found out my mum has stomach cancer and a secondary tumour on the lung. Got the shanks, can't spare the time to play (being with mum is too important) and now the car is playing up. Life is a minestrone!

Chin up pal, you never know whats round the corner.

This time last year I had a bit of a health scare, but here I am now sitting next to my wife and new 4week old daughter.

I havent eaten or slept for about a month, and forget about playing golf in the near future - but never happier!

It could be worse. There are still a lot of people in a poorer sitaution. You just have to face these obstacles head on and make the decisions at the time you think are right.
