Smokers hit again - no problem from my pov.
Scheduled Fuel duty increase scrapped - quel surpris.

£200M for PotHoles - Yay! Won't go very far though - certainly on the roads around me!

Been a very impressive budget imo, lots of positives especially the ISA changes, pension changes and business investment. Still lets hear what Balls has to say!

Pretty sure he'll be true to his name! Same sort of guff as Osborne.

It's a pre-election Budget and more a case of good timing than management imo.

Clearly not, seems Balls couldnt even be trusted to respond

That's the traditional way it happens.

Deputy Speaker is traditionally 'Chairman' too.

Balls gets his chance tomorrow. The protocol sort of allows for the fact that Oppo has only had about 1 hour's notice of its content, so can't attack the detail, but can attack the 'strategy' - which is what Milliband has been doing.

Ummm.... Why do we pay road tax again??

"Same old Tories" - no same old rubbish from you Milibean as everyone else tries to clear up the mess your lot left behind. Anyway, where is my copy of the Daily Mail?

Not sure if taking the pension pots out early is a well thought out idea. Especially when folk are living well into their 90's now.
We should be looking at taking the tax burden off the young not piling it on.

It appears that the many who are neither maker nor doer nor saver ain't getting anything from this budget - other than a likely future reduction in what the state provides as the welfare cap bites from next year. Good to know where you stand George and that you have drawn a line in the sand that Labour can stand the other side of from you - that is if they so choose to do.

Not sure that I understand whether I can now freely dip into my pension pot before my nrd. As I am of an age that means I can already do so in a limited way I am not sure that anything has changed for me. Anyway - come 65 I'll maybe spend a few years completely blowing my pension pot and then let the state look after men (actually I won't but some will - why we have annuities).

Just what does everyone expect , isa is good news

If you have any spare to invest in one. After my monthly outgoings go (and I put my money into my pension) and as I am paying to put my kids through uni I have zilch to save every month - and me and mrs are considered not badly off theoretically in the scheme of things. So ISAs? nice idea.
