What a farcical decision by the team in Monaco to cost Hamilton the race. He must be seething and I really don't see what the team hierarchy will be able to say or do to placate him. Not sure it's going to help relations between him and his team mate as the win brings Rosberg right back in touch.

I would love to know who gave the nod to pull him in and listen to their justification. I think there will be some serious words behind closed doors. They have already said Hamilton was saying his tyres were going off but times and track position don't support that and so close to the end you'd have thought he'd still have been able to get the car home especially in a safety car scenario

Oh well, cant stand the bloke. Fancy driving over the 3rd place board at the finish. given the choice i'd rather have a pint with ian poulter than that gangster wannabe brat

This guy ''in da hood'' aswell?

Talking of F1, whatever happened to Montoya?

Not quite sure what Hamilton has done to upset folk, but he is the kind of guy you either love or hate. Thought Brundles interview was massive Y front pants.

Montoya won the Indy 500 yesterday. Lewis Hamilton is the biggest cry-baby in all of sports. He is always whinging, moaning or bleating about something. Yesterday was just funny as hell.

Absolute tosh!

Some harsh comments here. Hamilton is the best driver and racer in F1. If he was racing in the 80's and 90's he'd be a hero.

He'd had so much bad luck and still notched 2 World Titles, says it all.

Never really been a fan of Hamilton as a person (and my couple of minutes view of him on a Golf course confirmed why!), but admire his ability to race!

Almighty screw-up by Mercedes, possibly down to predictive software not having Monaco factored in!

Still, good to see Rosberg getting closer to possibly make it more interesting later in the year!

From a championship persepective it was good to see Rosberg close the gap but an almighty cock up by Mercedes that I am sure Hamilton will use to his advantage at some point in the future

Too many people judge Hamilton on an Instragram picture rather than an F1 Race. The bloke is golddust. Anyone that knows F1 and watches it will say the same.

Rosberg is a German racing for a German team, say no more.

End of the day it was a mistake.......pit wall team are human after all. Pressure situation after the shunt created some uncertainty and they got the call massively wrong. Thought Lewis handled it pretty well to be fair and I'm far from his biggest fan. He's a great driver but I do get sick of the constant whining when it isn't going well. Don't buy the conspiracy theories or he wouldn't have won last year.
