Just had a jerk chicken and spicy rice courtesy of the West Indian family across the back. All home made and to die for. No idea what is in the rub for the chicken but boy it was tasty but with a lurking afterkick!

Granted but most shop bought ones are spicy but without that kick. This was made to an old Jamaican handed down through the matriarch system recipe and it was a world away from anything I've tried.

Doing overtime in the office today, so stopped off at Tesco on the way in and bought a pot of his carib curried noodles, this purchase was made solely on your recomendation, so if it tastes cr*p, you're to blame.

I have got his cookbook, well worth the £5 I paid for it, it tells his story and has some cracking easy to do food in it. Not all using his sauce.
