So after 2 home games against mediocre opposition which both ended as a draw Scotland are tonight playing Wales, who have lost both their matches so far.

So we sit with 2 points from 2 matches and our esteemed manager says this "Wales is not a must win game"

Regardless of tonights result this clown needs to be removed from his position. What an absolutely ridiculous thing to say.

We have arguably the strongest Scotland squad in a good few years and he is not getting results or performances and at the same time is making a complete arse of himself.

Come on SFA get shot of him
 
I agree that that is a really stupid statement - Every game is a must win for us even before the poor start to the new qualification campaign.
Really cant figure the man out, we have had a few games where we have looked quite promising, one where we actually looked great but all these have been in friendlies & we revert back to negative formation & thinking as soon as its a qualification game.

If we got rid of him who would we replace him with? Strachan? Smith? Neither blows me away - Strachan has blown hot or cold through his managerial career whilst Walters sides were pretty uninspiring previously although could grind out results.

I almost started a thread about my confusion over tonight's game. I want a Scotland victory however a loss will surely see the numpty removed from his post!!!

In the words of Bazza Ferguson, can we get an worser?
 
Listening to him today in his interview he said "he was the proudest man in Scotland "
managing the team.
If he cant be positive against a team in turmoil,god help Scotland.
 
At least if Miller and Rhodes are injured Avril has a great excuse for not playing any strikers, as its not a must win game we can go and play for a draw and get beat 1 nil. I too believe we have got one of the best squads we have had for a lot of years and its about time we set out to try and win games instead of the usual negativity its just a pity one of the best squads we have had for years.
Is running parrallel with one of the worst managers we have ever had. But that is also lack of ambition from the SFA ALWAYS THE CHEAP OPTION instead of trying to get the best possible even if it costs more than they usually like to pay.We need a winner for a Manager.
 
I though he was decent as the Arabs manger,but man is he being found out big time against better opposition.
Don't know who would be better in the position but someone with a bit of tactical knowhow would be a start!
As a Jock living in Wales surrounded by Welsh in my house the only thing I can say is MON THE JOCKS!
Can't beat em at ruggers so hopefully we'll stuff em.
The only saving grace is thier manager is as bad as ours!
 
Jordan Rhodes ... the lad that qualifies to play for Scotand as he went to school there for a few years !! whatever next ? :)

I really don't think he will get the pump if we get beat. It would cost money to get rid of him and find a replacement which I think the SFA are unwilling to spend.
 
The time is up.

Struggling badly against a team of 3 or 4 players,Wales and us battling out to see who's the worst team in the group.

Dire stuff again from Avril,do the correct thing and walk you fud.

Lets hope thats the end of Levein after what was yet another terrible performance against a team that was there for the taking.

They should have had a spot kick when Berra did a WWF style hug so it evens itself out in my opinion! Wales were by far the better side.

Yep that was definitely a penalty and there was no reason for disallowing Fletchers goal, ref was shocking all game and for both sides I thought.

Never mind though, as our esteemed manager says, this wasnt a must win game anyway so on to Brussells we go, full of hope:rolleyes:

Some bad decisions from the ref yes but come on this is a new low we have reached under this negative feckwit of a manager.

Good squad but players playing out of positions and to a negative style and it's soul destroying to watch.

Lucky if we have 15k at our next match and it would not suprise me if this idiot is still in charge come March so clueless are the tossers at the SFA.
