Today I played the above track with JJF69. Letham is a course that I've always really enjoyed, a fabulous lay out with some outstanding holes, known as the Augusta of Scotland gives you an idea of the prestige of the place.

Sadly the place has gone to the dogs and in my opinion its finished, years of legal wranglings, ownership battles and administration have taken their toll on the place. The course is in very poor condition, the fairways are long and very wet underfoot, their is no definition to the fairways to indicate where the semi starts or the fairway ends. No sand in the bunkers, the greens were very very slow and hairy. Overall the course is in serious decline and its so so sad to see, this place was magnificent a few years back.

The course is set for another two years of legal battles after the high court ruled in favour of an appeal of the former owner who claims that he still is the owner or something stupid like that, I cant see Letham Grange surviving that.

I wish it all the best.

We played it in a forum do a bit back and although it is a decent lay out it wasn't as good as I expected and it certainly wasn't in fantastic nick that day although a lot better than todays obviously.

It needs a serious investment not just on the course but the 'clubhouse' and surrounding areas were awfully tatty.

There are many, many places in Scotland I would go before Letham Grange.

To back up your review Craw a Pro event that was scheduled to take place here has been shifted to Whitekirk because of the state of the place.

If it has been shifted to Whitekirk things must be bad... :p

Spoke to a couple of members who are on my shift at work and they said it was a mess, cut grass lying every where and generally a bit of a tip.Pity as it has the potential to be really good as well.
