Lessons

Sounds pretty good to me especially as 45 with my club pro is £25 and an hour with the guy I actually use is £33. Why not go for a general swing MOT and see the set up. The most important thing with lessons is finding someone who can teach to your needs and so that you can follow and understand. If you can't trust or understand what you are being shown then you are wasting your time whoever and wherever you go

Jeeezuz - does that mean you've played 49 Medals ????
7.7 to 12.6 ?? How ??

I thought we all only went up 0.1 whenever we shot over our H/C ?

As far as lessons are concerned, I wouldnt go 'cheap'. far better to find someone who's well known as a good coach, someone who can help you adapt what you have to find the improvements you strive for, rather than someone who tries to teach everyone the same swing, if that makes sense.
And most importantly, you have to like them and be relaxed with them, otherwise it just doesnt work.

Good luck.

And you have to persevere with any changes and have time to practice them and in-grain them otherwise you're wasting your time

If you got down to 8, you must have a pretty good swing.
I suspect one of your fundamentals has slipped and all it will need is a tweak to get it back to where it was last season. Do you have a video of your swing?
