Can anyone recommend a good coach arround the Newcastle / Durham area.

I need someone that can explain things in simple terms nothing to complicated

Simon Robinson or James Maw both at Rockliffe are excellent.

Also the Pros at Ramside and Sharpley are well spoken about.

My son's had lessons with both Simon and James - both are great. I believe Simon's based at Close House now, that's where he was at Easter when I took my son.

Though not in as glamorous surroundings, I'd give a shout out to Michael Skelton at Seaton Carew. He was exactly what I needed; very easy to understand, no tech, and manipulated me and the club so I could get the 'feels' I needed to then be able to practice/work on afterwards. Top class coach and bloke.

Thanks for that, they are a bit for for me, don't mind travelling but rockliffe is over a hour from me, heard good stuff about john harrison at Northumberland and the guys at ramside so probs try them

Your probably correct about Simon, I was getting lessons off James at Seaton Carew and they stopped when he left.

Gary Shipley at the Sunderland Golf Centre has helped me a lot. Keeps it very simple, uses the swing you've got & doesn't try to change everything.
