i have looked into having lessons and the pro at my local club does £15 for half an hour now to me this sounds a rip of so i look for lesson a bit further away from home or go for the lesson :D

Sounds about right to be honest, its the same price at my club. If you are looking for value you could always join in a group session, a local club to me is offering a 10 week group course for £50.

You will normally get better deals on block booking (6 for the price of 5 etc) but £15 per half hour sounds good. If he is a good teacher then use him but otherwise ask around and see if anyone can recommned someone else locally. Word of mouth is usually a pretty good indicator of whether a pro is good or not

thanks for all great comments will go for lesson and when courses pop up i will look into them as this is my first lesson should i ask for anying spesific to work on or just all round

It's best for the pro to decide what the first thing to work on is, they usually look at eh fundamentals first ie grip, set up etc. In my limited experience, it's better to have one thing to work on and master before moving on to something else. I pay £18 per half hour (I've also paid £35 for half hour with the England Amateur coach), so £15 is OK. If I book a block of 6, I get 3 quid off per lesson

I got six lessons for the price of 5 at our local driving range.....£50.00. Bargain.
Problem was, the first three cocked me up so much the other three are still going free if you want them
;)

That's great value at £15 if he's a good teacher.

My club pro's charge £22 for half hour, and my old club pro's are at £24 and £30 for half hour.

£15 and you're moaning! Try coming round my way, more than double that for the assistants (both former touring pro's) and triple for the pro himself (GM Top 25). I can't afford lessons here so will be paying Minty's a visit.
