Anyone know much about these 9 hole courses? Worth playing with my wife, who is a novice

Cupar is definitely the better course of them two, would also say it is beginner suitable. Not much in the way of long gunch or forced carries

Cupar is built into the side of a hill, get used to above feet / below feet shots, never played Leslie (and very unlikely to) so can't comment although I have heard that a couple of the holes cross each other which is kinda worrying

Played 9 holes at Cupar today with my wife - what a great course - not overly long but small greens guarded by some subtle and not so subtle slopes

Greens were true and the course beautifully manicured

A tough course but enjoyable
