I'm curious to give this a go but it feels really awkward.

I've looked on Youtube etc but can only find people banging on about the benefits rather than actually showing you the grip.

Is there a comfortable way to join the hands together, or is it baseball grip for best results?

I swapped and use baseball grip when lh low.

I'm left hand low with a bit of an overlap (right hand one lays across smallest fingers of the left hand if that makes sense), index fingers pointing down the shaft. Been like that since I was a kid as it just felt right to me.

I tried it for a bit and never felt comfortable. Played around with the claw grip too, which felt a lot better, and when I feel like I'm getting a bit wristy I switch to it, but finding my best results with a standard grip ATM. Putting still terrible though, really needs some work!

I found one video that suggested having the knuckles of the right hand resting against the inside of the left wrist for stability. Do any of you that putt left hand low do that?

I've putted left below for most of my golfing life, I run my right index finger down the shaft and overlap the left hand on the index then.

People who see it thinks it's awkward but if feels natural to me

I saw that vid Region and gave it a go, but found I blocked a lot of putts right.

Been experimenting with this since Spieth won as my close range putting can be aweful at best sometimes. I have found some great success with it, but has taken lots of pratice at home and on the green to get comfortable and setup correctly. Currently using an interlocking grip as it seems to help me release the putter head through impact better. Overlap felt too weak. The only thing I am finding is on really long putts getting the pace/enough speed into the shot, so have been using normal grip for lag putts as I have never struggled with these.

Just had 10 minutes with no ball, and no matter how I grip the club I seem to have zero ability to take the club back in anything resembling a straight line, or even a smooth arc.

Speaking of Spieth and experimenting  , I tried looking at the hole on short putts yesterday and it worked remarkably well. I only missed a 4' putt when it was going so well that I sabotaged myself and tried to steer one. When I trusted it, it was really good.
Around 6-7' was when it started to get awkward.

I went left hand low a few years back, u really have to stick with it as there is no point trying it and going straight back. I use a super stroke grip but it is the thinest one the do which feels comfy to me. I put my right hand on first then lap my little and wedding finger over my right hand and my index finger down the side of the shaft. I find very comfy took I little niggling at first but second nature now. I also found long putts tough at the start but it came quite quick once I was happy with the grip. Can post pics if you like or strokes etc.
good luck with it, my 10 feet and in has improved massively.

He only looks at the hole for the short ones, say 2-3 feet. I've tried it a couple of times too and was 50/50. If I glanced at anyside other than the back of the hole I usually missed! lol

I also use a Superstroke grip, mid2.0, as the hands fit better on the grip. I found the stock Scotty pistolero too cramped.

Peter Alliss kept going on about Jordan Speith putting cack handed. Seemed to think it showed a putting weakness. Pretty sure he learnt that way of putting along with quite a few other pros. Keeps the shoulders level.

I'm using it again having previously dismissed it for lack of touch/feel. I'm putting much better as a result because the left hand keeps the putter bang on line but it does take a while to get used to it. My grip is basically a reverse baseball grip. No fingers pointing down or interlocking.

I use the opposite of a traditional reverse overlap grip right handed players would use.

My right index finger overlaps 2/3 fingers of my left hand on the grip.

I keep trying it...but I have no 'feel' whatsoever when using it. A friend swapped to LHL, and he has got rid of a stutter he used to have before pulling the putter head back. He doesn't seem to putt much better with it (he was always fairly good) but its a smoother stroke

I tried it for about 6 months three or four years ago. Found it worked well on short putts, but distance control was really tough to get a handle on. Perhaps if I played a bit more regularly it would have become more 'natural', but reality is playing once a week max I'm best sticking to the most simple comfortable method and not have to worry about it!
