Appears to have vastly improved.

As the "pretender", he appears to be keeping up with Tiger and Kaymer without much issue so far...So much for "collapsing under the pressure" of playing with them both.

The lag putt he just put to about 3 ft. from around 60+ feet was nothing short of amazing, and his chipping/pitching has been excellent.

Stuck at work so can not see what is happening. I wonder if he has put so much in on the short game that the long game was off last week (MC). I'm sure it will not be too long before the long game is back as well

I like Lee, a real genuine golfer who offers much more to the world number one place than Tiger ever did.

Can’t wait to watch some good golf this weekend

Not sure about that Tiger brought so much money and so many people to golf

Interesting thoughts. Nicklaus was never known for his chipping but his long game, mental approach and pressure putting were enough to mean it didn't matter. I'm not saying Westwod is in that class just that you don't have to be brilliant in every department to be a great player. Tiger of course was brilliant in every department and raised the bar and maybe that is waht makes it harder for us to judge players like Westwood who have a bit of a weakness (relatively speaking) in one part of their game. IMHO Westwood has plenty of skill to win a major it just hasn't happened yet. I do hope it will though as I think he is a credit to the game.

I think Westwood believes he is a decent chipper these days which is the big difference. I don't think he is the best out there but at least he thinks he'll get up and down now which historically was never the case

Mark Roe is LW's short game coach I think. He was one of the best with a wedge from any range when he was playing on tour.

Looks like it is paying off for Westy...
