Morning all.

I believe there are a few fellow scousers on here, some of which belong to Lee Park GC. I am looking at joining there but could do with some convincing from some friendly members!

I am in North Liverpool myself, but am struggling to find a club I like. Lee Park does seem ideal, and it's in my price range. I'm also starting a new job soon that is actually closer to Lee Park than my current work so I am thinking that games after work will now be much easier!

Naturally I am going to speak to the club and get out there and play but I am after some "real world" reviews if possible.

Thanks in advance!

I am a member there. It is a relaxed club with very little snootieness unlike its brother next door.

My only hang up is that it is very very sodden in winter time. I am told all the courses in the city suffer from this. It dries out in spring and becomes very firm and fast over summer. Greens are always in great nick.

Its a reasonably short but testing track. Not many shoot the lights out on it. Drop me a pm if you fancy a game. The drying out process has begun so course should be getting back to its best over the next couple of months.

I'm currently in-between clubs, but was a member there for 13 years.

Friendly club in the main, course and greens over the last 3-4 years has been very good between March-November, and sometimes has some of the best greens in the vicinity. Can be boggy for 3-4 months a year, but is rarely closed in comparison to others in the vicinity.

Every year the course seems to get 3-4% better, a pity they dont have full membership, as they would spend even more on the course, although each year they tend to put extra drainage in on a few holes.

In the last 3 years they have totally rebuilt 2 holes and greens, for the better, but may have to wait a bit for any more capital projects.

Front 9 has lots of shape, back 9 is straighter but harder.

I'd still prefer it above Woolton, West Derby, Huyton & Prescot though.

Cheers for that. West Derby was my number 1 choice but the prices have gone up this year.

Really? All for the same reasons?

Duffers needed a break from Stu. Stu missed duffers so followed him to H&P. Petes moving up in the world, an Podge got thrown out cos of his garish fashion sense.

Oh an Gaz thinks its so bad he's moving country!!

Theres members oh here fro LP, h&p and ep. Im sure you could grab a game at all. After all they signed me in :D then you could make your own mind up.

I still say join West lancs, then I have a real choice of where I can bum a game

Lol! Cheers Mate. As I think I've mentioned before, my brother in law is a member there; it's just the fees are astonishingly high! I'd have to sell a kidney (or two!) first to get some funds!

Duffers, - left cos he got a deal at H&P for £500, since expired (the deal not duffers).

Podge, - I'll take the fifth.

Stu, - Left cos he should have got a deal for £500, but typical plumber, turned up 2 months later, and it had gone by then.

Pete - Trying to join an elite course, but currently failing miserably.

Gaz is leaving in sept - Can't hack all this sunshine, so is going back to NI.

Open invite to mine mate. Let me know when you're free.

Cheers ears - where are you nowadays, cant keep up with you.

Still in the course that has a hole based on "Hobbitsville"?;)

Make scouser a cave on that hole, and we could open it up as a tourist attraction.
Still there mate. Looking forward to a good season this year. What's your plan B this year?

Cheers for that. West Derby was my number 1 choice but the prices have gone up this year.

I think Lee Park is a better course than west derby.

You'll enjoy LP there's some good people there and you won't struggle getting a game.

You'll always be sorted for the comps too.

Our group of 10 went different ways, couple not played enough to justify subs, couple to a better course and a few just jibbed it.
