Hi folks

I just wondered if anyone knows of a company which makes or sells leather head covers in the UK? I've seen lots of nice ones from companies like Iliac, Cru, Stitch etc but they all seem to be base din the USA so by the time you add shipping, import duty etc on they cost an absolute bomb! I am aware they are a premium product but can't help thinking buying in the UK would be cheaper.

Has anyone bought any here?

Just had a look on ebay myself, they for irons? I just typed in 'golf leather headcovers' and plenty popped up free p&p 9 quid for a set of 12 iron covers. So with free post and package km assuming they are from UK.

I got some iliac clothing and the quality is something else and different. Although I like the head covers I can see why you don't buy as its expensive. I bought from Myheadcover.com and although it's not leather I like them. They come from Portugal.

just seen the Cru web site, I'm pretty tempted to get a custom designed one myself.

Thanks folks - it's the Driver/fairway/hybrid covers I am after.

Cru seem the most expensive of the bunch but they'd sort of be a once only purchase as they should last a good long while with a bit of TLC. I'll keep looking.

Our pro shop had a couple of different leather wood head covers.

some are brown and the others black and white. no idea what make they were or if they still do. I think i've seen the same type in Castle Stuart as well. but those had CS logo on.

Yeah thanks Patrick - I saw the CS ones last year and think Carnoustie had them logo'd up too the last time I was there too. Just seems hard to find the plain/unlogo'd ones.

Scott Readman does custom head covers, but is expensive.

For what it's worth, I bought a putter cover from Golf Iconic in the USA and shipping + duty came to £15.

Depends what your definition of "absolute bomb" is.
