Many a times I have heard people say that when they play with better players, they actually can
learn something.
I myself have learnt a few things off better players, then all of a sudden ive gone back to doing it
my way.
However yesterday I was watching a few videos from one of the best short game specialists in the world
of golf,Phil Michelson.
I was watching his "hinge and hold" method for chipping around the greens.
Also in Tiger Woods book "How I play golf" he talks about it.
So I thought I would give it a go down our practice area today, and no surprise it actually works and
it was a success.
Of course it needs more practice so it becomes repeatable and consistent but the signs are good.
Generally im pretty good around the greens, but maybe this will make me better.
I suppose to be the best I can be,learning off the best can do no harm.
Anyone one else use the Hinge and Hold method?
Or has anyone picked up a tip recently that has made a remarkable difference?

got his vid on my HD and go back to it from time to time. Generally my chipping is decent partly down to vid and mostly down to decent feel/judgement. If only my long game was as reliable I'd be off single figures (ogh and my putting aswell)

Keep at it over the winter and keep us posted if it worked or was dropped

yes I watched the same video's and it works a treat! I like to watch the one about flop shots at the start of summer!
