Leader's Curse

With an eye on a previous thread about leading or not on Sunday....

The curse of the Leaders strikes again.
Marcel Siem blew it and Gmac came through to win.
Rickie Fowler seems to have blown it - at the time of writing - 2 behind Rosie with 4 to play.

And its happened a lot it seems this year. Is it the pressure of leading? or as some put it - getting into the " protect the lead" state of mind?

Can I change my mind? I want to be 3 shots behind going into the final day. It seems like the best way to get a win.

I guess we can relate to this a little, youve 5 to play on medal day, your playing to a few shots under your handicap, and you stop playing the way you were already.

I watched a bit of Fowler around the middle of his round and it didnt look like he was protecting, HE WAS SWINGING IT GOOD, THEY LOOKED AT HIS SWING A FEW TIMES TO SHOW YOU JUST HOW HARD HE WAS HITTING THE BALL. i would say he lost it, Rose won it!

Its looking more like the player tucked in behind has the away goal psychologically.
