Not played golf there but love Le Touquet. French seaside towns seem to be really nice and smart unlike the amusement arcade chav magnets we have over here.

Same as above - not played golf there but the place itself is very nice. The Westminster is very handy walking distance from the main streets and it has a very nice feel to it. A bit 'time capsuled' possibly but in a classy way. Certainly not a chav place that's for sure. Its not cheap though!

I've played all of them, albeit about a decade or so ago. All the courses you mentioned were good as regards condition. Belle Dunne was probably the better test of golf, though my thoughts would have been a bit weather dependent (good weather at all of them for me though).

I played a La Mer and la Foret at Le Touquet, if that's your're La Mer. La Foret was shorter and easier, I don't recall any issues with La mer, one of my playing partners did run out of balls though (another guy thought it was funny until he discovered he'd ran out 4 holes previously and had lost 3 of his too - it's not that hard he just spreads it). We ate at the course after, fine for basic food. We stayed on site at Le Touquet and food was fine but it was nouvelle cuisine, so cost a lot for not a lot.

At Hardelot it was similar 2 nice courses for condition and 1 course a little stronger than the other (Les pins being the stronger one Iirc).

If you want a golf test then Belle Dunne, La Mer and Les Pins will appeal, the others are well kept and pleasant tracks for social and holiday golf, not too demanding and easy to enjoy by all so depends on what you want.

Again food on site was fine for a golf club at all the places. We ate there for ease as much as anything else.

I'd happily play them all again.

Played Pines (Hardelot), Dunes (Hardalot) and Belles Dune about 4 weeks ago on a weekend away. Had a really good time and found all 3 courses in good nick bar the greens. Belles Dune was a complete lottery!

We played Belles Dune off the whites in a howling gale and was testing to say the least. I would advise a buggy if you can here as it's a long walk between the greens and tees!!

Were the greens rubbish due to the fact they had been scarified/hollow tined or was it just the basic condition? Ive heard the Dunes has been shortened now and has 7 par 3's??

They'd just been tined so hopefully will be much better given it's now 4-5 weeks on. We were just a little disappointed that we weren't made aware of this when we booked given that it did make the putting side almost impossible. That was on all 3 courses however Belles Dune was the worst.

I don't think that info is right about BD, it's plenty long enough and certainly doesn't have that many Par 3's!

Palyed Les Pins, Les Dunes and La Foret a while back (2003).

All very pleasant courses - Les Pins being marginally the most difficult course, La Foret the most difficult to play due to an immense hangover from Cognacs until 04:30 that morning!

We were staying in an 'English style' near Hardelot pub owned/run by an ex-colleague and his French wife, so can't comment on accom etc in Le Touquet.

I have been a few times and played the courses that you have mentioned. The golf is good.

The après-golf, less so. It is pretty dull as a town and you will struggle to find any meaningful action to be honest.

Perard - fish restaurant and fish shop cheek by jowl (or should that be flipper by fin). Love Le Touquet though never golfed there - but as Snelly said - it's not a night-life hot spot. Also - word of warning - if you go for a little walk through the wood opposite the Westminster watch out for dog poo - the locals seem to use the woods as a dog toilet. Nice walk (if you feel inclined after a day's golf) along the front heading towards the river estuary - and nice sand dunes for a bit of shelter if the wind is up and you fancy doing a beach BBQ.
