Was a bit surreal really. In hospital at 07.00, gave birth at 10.08 and home at 15.00.

Does it normally happen that quick.

You think that was quick... I was doing some work in maternity today and an ambulance brought a lady in labour in. Baby's head already out in the ambulance and she delivered it in the corridor. No time to get her anywhere near a delivery room. Not the sort of thing I see everyday but the team did a wonderful job and apparently mother and baby now doing well

We were under 9 hours for our first, which is probably under average. 2nd and later can be very quick, our friend 2nds are around 2-4 hours

Without complication getting home ASAP is usual. We were in hospital for a week :(

Mrs Rooter on our last one, went in at 1AM, gave birth at 3AM and we were home by 6:30AM. She is a pro though... Congrats though! hope all is well with Mum and baby!
