I'll also recommend Whittington Heath (was still called Whittington Barracks the last time that I played it some 20 years ago).

It's a very good heathland course, similar in style to Beau but not as tough a challenge. Should prepare you well for your round at Beau.

Also have a look at Brocton Hall which is just few miles from Beau.
