I've been thinking about swapping from GPS to a laser recently after my SGX broke, yet again.
I might see if the pro shop will lend me a demo model to try for a few rounds.
For me the my SGX is relatively faff free. Just take it out my pocket, quick look at yardages. The guys I know who use lasers seem to mess around it bit more getting it out a pocket in the bag, aiming it up etc, lasering pin, front, middle and hazards etc etc.
I also use my SGX to track scores and stats etc, which helps me see how different parts of my game is progressing and what I need to work on. Which a laser won't do, so I'd have to do something separate for that.
