Just booked some flights for June / July for Costa Blanca. From looking at Google I note both the titled clubs are with 5KM of where Im staying.

Could anyone give a review on either?
Price / Value for money etc

Cheers

Played Las Ramblas and Real Club de Campoamor (just up the road) last Easter.

One was €45 and the other €50 plus €25 for buggies (both quiet long/hilly so worth having). One or 2 of the holes where always going to be very challenging off my 28 handicap but proved interesting for my better mates however their where more than enough holes within my capabilities to make sure I enjoyed the golf rather than saw it as a chore.

We made enquiries at VillaMartin but they came across as rather snobby despite the slightly scruffy appearance of the place. This was a complete contrast to the other courses which where very welcoming despite being very posh in appearance.

I’d defiantly recommend trying either/both.

Las Ramblas is ok. Hilly but neat. Haven't played Villamartin but know a friend who say's it garbage.

Would recommend Lo Romero which is amazing and can only have got better since I last played it. 18th green like 17th at Sawgrass although it's a par 4. Another local cracker to try is La Finca. Bradley Dredge is a member and has a house on the course.

Would also say take a drive to Murcia and play Hacienda del Alamo, another cracker and worth the hours drive.

For savings, visit www.thegolffactory.es or pay them a visit when your there. Signposted off to the right of the N332 heading South at Campoamor.

Agree with Andy re Villamartin. I played it about 4 years ago and it was pretty poor then. There are many better courses in the area.

Las Ramblas is a real test with some lovely holes. If you spray it around your dead on most holes, but one of the holes is fantastic (forgot number) but you drive off on the first level and then you have a shot over a canyon onto a level of fairway some 50ft lower than the one you have driven too....or a longer shot to the raised green. Great stuff.

You are up in the mountains so a bit of a walk (buggy an option) but that means you have great scenery and lots of natural hazards (water, cliffs, canyons, raised tees driving over trees etc). My only 2 tips would be take lots of balls and don't be scared of the snakes!

VillaMartin is far more open and less spectacular. It has a nice clubhouse and is well kept, but pretty easy and not very inspiring. However, a good course to start with if your planning to play a load of round and good for the higher handicaper.

Hope that helps.

Las colinas is the newist course in the area and is a real cracker, its just behind Villa Martin and them courses. Got a review in GM about 3/4 months ago in the front pages and will be about €60 a round at that time of year.

Las Ramblas is my fav course. la sierra is pretty good as well, water in play on 16 holes so a proper Florida style course.

Roda is pretty good as well.

Play in that area once or twice a year as my folks live near La Zenia.

Havent played the courses in question but played Campoamor and La Finca a few years ago. Campoamor wasn't all that IMO but did have an amazing club house. As said in a previous post La Finca is nearby and defiantly worth taking a look at.
