Langer's boy.

I could beat that, why is he allowed to play, surely he hasn't got a tour card?

I love his comment;- "It was discouraging."

Have any of us said this when our pals asked us how we played today after shooting a 98?

I think it translates to " Aw man, I played like a ****in f***y"

He may still be an amateur but at least he communicates like a pro!

Think you're being a bit hard on the lad! He's off +1 so he can't be all that bad. It happens to the best of players. Apparently Mark James shot 111 on the European Tour once!

+1? On a terrible day a +1 player might hit 84, but 98 come on!! This is the European Tour, not the US Open.

Another pro – can't remember who – was on his way to treble figueres once but ran out of balls!. Dave3498 - I'm only one post behind you.

Maybe I'm wrong but I was watching the golf yesterday and it didn't look like the most diffcult of courses to me.

+1? I think the handicaps committee would be having a look at me if I shot that score off of that handicap!

At then end of the day though I say good luck to the lad. Having a legend as a dad isn't his fault and it will always be a very large shadow for him to emerge from. Genius doesn't always breed genius. It is a shame as I feel that he must be carrying a lot of pressure having bernie as his dad.

Listening to Mark Roe on golf night he says the place is very tight and you have to hit the short stuff to score. Still a 98's a 98 !

Remember Tiger saying a 10 handicapper would struggle to break 100 at the last US open course.

Yeh......if it's a Kennemer, I've played the course! (off the white tees as well).
98 is truly out there near disastersville Tennesee....

Poor bloke, what a mare......I broke 90 with a hangover....

Great course......maybe they've been growing some special dutch weed to infiltrate the rough....

"Remember Tiger saying a 10 handicapper would struggle to break 100 at the last US open course."

Arghh, these guys are so funny.....(not)......If a course is that hard, you leave your driver in the boot and play all the long holes for bogey.....100, of 10?....hmm, unlikely.

To be fair, I think Tiger was referring to the greens (stimping at 14) rather than the rest of the course, but I still think he was a little off the mark.

Maybe he meant an American 10 handicapper rather than a European! Oooooh, hark at me!

Just noticed that Lloyd Saltman was playing there too. He's an amateur based out of my own club (off a handicap of +4) and he shot 74,68.

Langer Jnr off +1 - 98,91. Eh?
