We are part owners of a property that is rented out. The insurance is due, but the percentage increase on the premium is daft this year. We have had a quote from Direct line, but it's even more money than our existing quote.

Any one got any views on a decent insurers at a sensible price?

Cheers.

I've normally found that renewals are sent out by the underwriters direct and are always an unacceptable percentage increase, when I then telephone the company or any of the agents that represent them to challenge it with the view of canceling it's almost halved immediately!

I've experienced this across all insurers covering everything.

Difficult to say, a sensible price depends (like any insurance) what cover you want, value of property, area etc etc. I've used Simple Landlords insurance and have decent cover but a bit more expensive than some no doubt. All I can advise is to shop around.
