Lamlash Open - Arran - this weekend

Anyone on here played or playing in this? 7 of us went over last year, was a right laugh - it has now been nicknamed the Lad's Lash open after we met a group from Cochrane Castle GC who were just as badly behaved as us.

Also any courses on the island worth playing on the monday before we go home (if we're all still alive)

try to arrange a trip to Arran every year and was up there in June, have played Lamlash several times but not in the Open.

you can't go golfing in Arran and not play Shiskine, in my top three courses anywhere. won't be too painful with a hangover as only 12 holes, lunch in the tearoom (food superb) and another 12 after if you're still going !

Another vote for Shiskin. The Crows nest is a cracking hole.

Played in the open there several years back. Some serious liver disease to be had after that weekend.

Shiskine and Brodick are the pick. Corrie is stunningly beautiful but watch out for the Adders in the heather and rocks.

Played in an RNLI fundraiser at Corrie once, a one club and putter comp. Shot +2 gross and never even got a sniff of the prizes. Too many dodgy holidy handicaps that day

I used an eight iron by the way.
