Just wondering if anyone else is using these grips.

Got some new irons and Mizzy where offering free grip upgrades so after much deliberating I chose the UTx wrap grips. I don't know what it is about them, but I can't stand them. I've never been someone that was that bothered about what grip was fitted, as long as it felt good.

I now find myself at times re-gripping multiple times after addressing the ball as the clubs just do not feel right in my hands. It was that bad, yesterday I felt more comfortable from 220 with a hybrid, than with a short iron in my hand.

Obviously I'm going to re-grip them, which hurts as they are like new and it seems a shame to cut them off. How do I remove them without an air gun so I could sell them on.

Has anyone else tried these grips yet, or using them and like them?

I'm using the standard UTx grips and love them.

could spend a few $'s at golfsmith for grip removal tool and plastic syringe bottle, & rubber vice clamp

but you can get around that by using say the back of a spoon or bend a wire coat hanger so the wire is real close together but with a rounded end - then basically you need grip solvent and a vice, some tape

tape over the butt end of the grip to stop solvent running straight out or use thumb

push the smooth small part of spoon or bent rounded coat hanger down a little ways between shaft and grip to open it up a ways then poor a portion of grip solvent down into the grip

with a towel hold and spin/twist the grip on the shaft it starts to breakdown the adhesive tape

push grip removal tool/spoon handle/ rounded coat hanger slowly down to around halfways down grip add little more solvent and repeat twist motion -

oftentimes the grip will pull off with spinning/twisting it - but if not place shaft in rubber vice clamp protector and firm up enough to hold it without damage - and twist and pull the grip off should come off pretty easy with shaft being held in vice clamp and without damage to the grip - newer the grip usually easier it is not to damage it

have a plastic tray under grip to catch solvent as you can pour it back in the can and re-use it

I had them on my irons and hated them, they came off after a month.
I now had one on my M1 and i also hate that.

They are so abrasive its silly, they rip a good quality glove to shreds!
