I am not long home from an extremely enjoyable day of golf with the lads from the forum.
The weather was fantastic for this time of year with only a 15 minute spell of rain, as Boabski said God must be a golfer.
We ended up with 9 forum members making it with Madandra's brother in law joining us, it was great to finally meet up and put faces to the names.
Course was in good condition and I think everyone enjoyed their golf and the pleasant company.

Scores were

Madandra aka Bandit 39 points
Toad 35 Points
John_Findlay 32 points (bih)
Birdieman 32 points
Marko77 32 points
Stuart D 29 points
Golfcitydweller 27 points
Boabski 26 points
DCB 20 points

There were 2 magic 2's one by Madandra at the 15th and Toad at the 17th (much harder hole).

J_F and Andy had their cameras with them and will add a link to some pictures later.
I am sure you will get more detailed posts ref all the great golf shots that were played but that is all I have time for just now as I have a party to go to.

Thanks again lads for a great day and I hope there will be many more.

Toad.

Well done guys. Nice one Madandra. Glad you had a good day for it. (Bit different to the forecasted dooom and gloooom at the beginning of the week).

Cheers again Toad for making the arrangements.

Enjoyed being part of "Team Madandra" winning our fourball match :) If he's my partner again at the next get together his handicap is staying the same, if not, cut him!!!

glad it went well, where did you play?

Played at Blairgowrie GC (Rosemount course) - very nice rolling heathland course, did host a European Tour event in the 70's that Greg Norman won I think, excellent clubhouse and pro shop. They only had one temp green in play, weather very windy, quite cold, with rain for a short spell.
Madandra's 39 points (78 gross) was exceptional in the conditions, he is way better then an 11 handicap. I was happy with my 79 gross for 32 points on a toughish course I hadn't played before, some ropey putting didn't help but got lucky with some breaks off the tee.
Very good day out, would recommend it highly to forumers in other regions.
Thanks Toad for the organising.

Cheers lads for a smashing day out. The Rosemount at Blairgowrie was in fantastic nick for this time of year and the rain and snow stayed away.

It was good sitting and chatting with everyone without the typing but a bugger trying to call people by their real names and not their handles.

StuardD and golfcitydweller came up against Marko and me on a bit of a purple patch. Good conversation and a fair bit of ribbing and sledging went on but all in the best possible taste.

We are hoping to do it again in the near future and as this was not part of the real season I am against any handicap adjustments. :D :D :D ;) ;) ;)

Sounds like you guys had a great time, I'm hoping to arrange a day out for the guys over here very soon, just to meet up with the guys. The golf will be enjoyable but the meeting will be the best bit. Of course any of you lot from across the water will be very welcome.
